Healthy Gums

Gums provide vital support for teeth. When it comes to amazing healthy smiles, gums are every bit as important as teeth. They provide the foundations to our smiles, so when they’re not in the best shape they could be, you can expect the rest of your smile to follow suit.

Great dental surgery, lovely Dentists and hygenist and FAB dental nurses, all very professional.. Really nice family run practice. I am a bit biased though as i worked here for 13 yrs and loved my job, leaving for own personal reasons. Everyone makes you feel at ease as soon as you go through from reception to dentist.Lovely waiting rooms too.I live 40 mins away and still go for my check up appts. No need to be frightened to go to the dentist ever again, everyone makes you feel totally at ease. 😁

Red, swollen gums or bleeding when you brush could indicate that you have gum disease or gingivitis. Gingivitis can be easily treated, but you have to up your oral hygiene game to retain your healthy gums.

Left untreated, gingivitis can quickly progress into more severe periodontitis, affecting the area around the tooth and could lead to eventual tooth loss. Periodontitis is treatable, but you should always brush regularly and floss at least once a day to make sure your gums don’t reach this point of unhealth.
