Born in Sunderland, Susan qualified from the University of Newcastle in 1995. After completing her vocational training year in South Shields, she joined the practice as an associate working for 2 years before moving practice to Gateshead. Susan worked in both NHS and private practice in Gateshead for 20 years before relocating to Teesside, where her husband has worked for 12 years.

Joining Bentley Mathieson in 2018 Susan enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry and family dental care. She is interested in Law and Ethics in Dentistry obtaining a Masters in Legal Practice from Nottingham Trent University in 2018. Outside work, Susan lives in Billingham with her husband and son. She enjoys the theatre, opera, playing violin walking in the Lakes and supporting Sunderland AFC.
